It's so refreshing to deal with respectful, helpful, and nice people, especially in the man's world of construction materials. I went to Vulcan on my own in my truck to pick up some gravel for a home improvement project. Over a span of 3 visits in 3 consecutive days, I hauled 2.65 tons, and each time, starting with the man and woman working in the front office to the loader in the yard, I was treated with respect, courtesy, and friendliness. Each of the three days, I was the only pickup truck (and woman) on site; all the rest were large dump trucks. It was intimidating at first, but all the staff at Vulcan made me feel at ease and that I had as much right to be there as anyone. Thanks so very much. I will be back again for my next project.

Homeowners: If you have or can borrow a suitable truck or trailer, Vulcan is definitely the place to for gravel. 1/4 the cost of Big Box (Lowes,etc.) and 1/2 the cost of local landscape supply, for all grades gravel by the ton.

These folks are great with us homeowners....What I need is very trivial to their business but over 20yrs they have always been polite and helpful.
