Walmart Supercenter

The store itself is great. It’s big and has a great variety of items. It’s clean and you feel safe. I’m giving this location a low score because of the pick up orders. It takes forever! I have 2 kids, so pickup was so helpful. The past location we went to had a great turn around time. We moved and now it’s totally not worth it at this Poway location. I’ve come twice now. The first time I just canceled my whole order. There were no spots left (out of 22 spots). I’m here trying a different time when it shouldn’t be as busy at it’s been 40 minutes and still no one. Please avoid pickup here if you have kids. Walmart Poway, you need more employees doing pickup. This is ridiculous. I know you can do better.

Last Saturday I had asked for help from two employee, none of which were helpful at all. In fact, the first one turned their head and kept on walking. It wasn’t until I was in the grocery aisles that I found help with a shopper. We had a 2 minute passing conversation that made my experience a bit better. Her name tag read ‘gabby’ and unlike the first two associates she was both friendly and informative. She was the only employee that was genuinely willing to stop, smile, and help me out.

Who doesn't love Walmart and thee constant holiday specials they run. I dropped in today for cough medicine and stocked up on Easter chocolate. The Robin Eggs go fast so I made sure and picked up 10 packs at just $4.97 each. The Easter Oreo cookies is also fantastic.

Sean is the best cashier ever! He was super polite and helpful. One of the only people in the store who had energy and constantly smiling. I watched him de-escalate an angry customer ahead of me and he handled it very well while keeping a smile. Probably the best cashier I’ve had in a while. 10/10 🔥

It’s Walmart. You generally know what to expect. Wide selection, staffing that changes on the day, okay prices. This location is clean, easy to navigate, and follows the same flow as others. Decent lighting, ability to order if needed and deliver, and offer pick up. Size is where this location suffers. It’s been the same for years, not as big as supers in other areas. Because of that, you won’t find everything.
