Waverly Parking Garage

Garage was super easy to find, plenty of parking on a Wednesday mid morning. Paying is easy. Use the machine to put your parking space number in and use cash or card. The app can be downloaded to add additional time.

This garage is confusing in the sense that it’s not clear when and where you pay for parking. The first time I went I paid for parking after the fact , recently I went and learned from my last experience and paid before hand for what I thought was two hours because the sign said two hours…only to get a ticket. In 2015 having a parking app is great but in this day and age I have enough apps…there should be an option to go back and pay right before for you leave for any hours over the original amount you paid.

Great 24/7 garage with proximity to nearby hotels and restaurants. Easy to pay onsite or via phone. Unfortunately parking officers like Weerakkody will ticket you despite following the posted signs and times for payment.

The location is great, and there were lots of spaces (at least when I went there). There are elevators at both ends of the parking lot (although there is a step on the ground floor of one of them, so not as accessible as the other one). This lot features long and short term spaces. It was clean and in good working order (although there was some construction when I was there). Prices are fair. The one thing that is bad about this lot is trying to stay over night when you arrive before the 10 pm cut off. Parking is free between 10 pm and 7 am, but if you park before 10 pm, and want to leave after 7 am, then you're out of luck. The payment meters will only allow you to pay up to 10 pm. If you need to park for over 2 hours, you have to drive up several floors to find a space. A very annoying design in my view. They took out the parking meters, so now you need to use a complicated kiosk machine to pay. One of the elevators was broken, and there was litter in several places. At least it is convenient in some ways.
