Hired this contractor for a major remodel, estimated 4 months. At 8 months, after countless mistakes, sub-standard work, and rude, inaccurate attacks on me personally, with quite a bit of work still remaining, I fired him. He repeatedly insulted me, the homeowner, when I pointed out his mistakes. He said I didn't know anything, despite this being my 4th major remodel. He claims he fixed many of the mistakes; others were not fixable or left poor results. His main crew was unskilled labor, doing sloppy carpentry, with repeated failures to measure and level.
