I was priced over $19,000 for the replacement of a 1 year old roof on the house I just bought. I had questions about the observable damage being old or new. I purchased a moisture gauge and it didn’t register an issue. I called Mr. Widmeyer a local roofer. When I explained my situation he offered to help. He was here in about an hour’s time. He confirmed that, the installation on the main roof was poorly done, but it was not leaking. The damage was old. The fresh leak in my laundry room was related to debris on the roof ( which I had suspected) and due to the low grade: it should have been replaced with a flat roof.
