Window Installation by The Home Depot

I’ll never use The Home Depot for a door install or any service again. This wasn’t a delay , I signed and approved the quote on 29 October and didn't have the installation scheduled until February — it was a breakdown from start to finish. Timeline matters: Door ordered and quoted to be sanded/clear coated months ago with hardware included. We waited weeks past the original delivery window. Install day finally arrives today… no hardware. That’s when the excuses started. I was told by @HomeDepot: The quote with hardware was “canceled” and The hardware was a “special order” and not available in-store (never disclosed). And The delay was my fault because I ordered a “custom door.” That last part is false. I did not order a custom door. I ordered a regular door off of their regular web

My doors look great, second time to have Home Depot do my inside doors this time. They’ve done now my outside & inside doors. They are very good at keeping me up to date on ordering, following up & the guy they use for install is really THE BEST. He comes to measure & once I order & doors are ready at Home Depot he gets me in quick, works super hard & quality work.

Awful service! They sent someone to measure my door. I worked with one of their agents to assist me to select a door that matched the measurements they took. On the day of installment. They’re telling me the door didn’t match the measurements, and I have to pay more $$ for another door. No thank you! I’ll work with another company. I’m so disappointed with Home Depot.

Ordered and PAID for 2 doors. One showed up damaged and it took 3 months to get it re-ordered and scheduled to be installed. Too long of a process and the local store wasn't much help and didnt really communicate anything throughout. Local installer was awesome and would use him 100 times again, just not through HD.

The guys who came out were wonderful. As far as price, I had to have a custom storm door so it was pricey but I wanted a snug fit with no gapping
