Pretty sure these guys are under new ownership. All the older reviews are very positive as mine would be when they did the initial install. I called them about 2 years ago for a simple maintenance to my furnace. They charged me $630 for 2 capacitors and the cleaning.

Made a repair appointment because they had installed and have serviced this unit in the past. Tech came out and said everything was working fine and it just needed topped off with freon. Said they didn't carry R22 and I needed a new system. Had to pay for a service call. Made a few more calls and everyone carries R22. I had HVAC folks lined up to help. Its been working for several days now. Guess all they wanted was to make quick service call $ and maybe sell a new system to a costumer not need a new system. I can tolerate a lot but will never accept being lied to.

We recently made an appointment with Burkett's because they did the initial HVAC install in the home. Spoke with the receptionist to set the appointment up, she was very polite, I asked how much to have a tech come out and give us an est. for repairs, she said it would be $99 for the service diagnostics and if we needed a cleaning it would be an additional $79. So we went ahead and set the appointment up, I have some background in HVAC so I am somewhat familiar with the operation of the system and had done a couple of checks the night before and iterated to the receptionist and the tech there was a pressure switch issue. Because I have a full time job and didn't mind paying for fair service, we just decided to have them come and check it out and give an est. if we needed repairs. The tech

After some issues with a different service company, I called Burkett. The dispatch/call person was great, scheduled the appointment for me and had someone out in a reasonable amount of time. Turned out there were no real issues with the system (though the other service company said there were), just needed to adjust a couple things (and I needed to learn a couple things about the system). All in total the service rep was excellent, answered all my questions, educated me on some aspects that were unclear and I was up and running in 15 minutes. GREAT experience. Thank you!!!

Burkett installed my heating/cooling system in 2001. They have faithfully repaired it annually since then. (Is that a good thing?) However, this year the auxiliary heat quit working. They said they would come on Tuesday. They did not, so my wife called. They came on Wednesday. They did not have the part needed and promised to come back tomorrow. It is now the following Monday and we have no report from them. We are approaching 2 weeks of burning a propane grill for heat.
