I am EXTREMELY disappointed at the lack of integrity and work quality on our septic system replacement. We purchased the home in March of this year. As part of the purchase agreement, the seller’s were required to have the septic system replaced. According to the Health Department’s documented request, all existing tanks were to be “pumped, filled, and crushed.” Instead, J & R excavating told the Health Department (per a documented communication we had with Stew from the Health Department) that “the old tank could be accessed and pumped” and therefore it was okay to keep it and hook the BRAND NEW system into the OLD system! Extremely disappointed with this company. We had them do grading and install of a septic system for a new home build in 2021/2022. Initial grading and install of the tanks seemed fine, but they left the risers to the tanks exposed all winter, into summer, with unfinished grading that caused much of the water runoff to flow over the septic area. This caused the risers to disconnect from the tanks, which in turn allowed clay, silt, and water to enter the tanks. When the system was turned on, it ended up clogging the pump to the drainage field, causing the tanks to overflow into our yard, which required a pump replacement and a pump truck to clear the clay/silt out. For all the good things I've heard, I was disappointed in the poor communication throughout the entire septic install. Rarely did they show when they told us - if they even told us at all. It's been several months now since they finished installing the system yet the septic alarm has remained out in our yard untouched and disconnected. After being assured several times that someone would come out to finish the job, they have yet to do anything about it. I hope I'm in the minority on this!

I had J&R re-do my drainfield/septic system. Ryan kept in communication with us throughout the entire process and working with the county to make sure everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend them if you are looking to get a new system or one replaced!
