Patterson Oil Company

Called for an oil company for oil delivery. Talked to a person named Russ. Russ was very rude on the call. We asked about getting a delivery of 100 gallons. We needed that day we were getting low. He told us there will be an additional delivery charge over 95.00 dollars extra for same day delivery. We are quick bill payers but that didn't matter. Rudeness has no value. Patterson oil might be ok for some but my experience with them has been rude , insulting and most condescending. These are just the facts. No marks for servility. Your rude Russ. You are!!!

After multiple requests to ensure their staff close our out gate after filling to ensure our dog does not get out they continue to leave it open. This last time the gate was left open and our dog ended up chasing a bear. How inconsiderate and unsafe. This is such an easy and responsible thing to do. I can’t think of any other reason than laziness and a lack of consideration for their clients to leave a gate open, especially after multiple calls. Leaving a review here as clearly calling again and again makes no difference. Everything else is just fine but this is unacceptable.

I’m not sure why the star rating for this company is so low. I moved in Torrington in 2019 and was struggling with a different oil company at first. I switched over to Patterson and it has been a fantastic experience. The people in the office are very friendly and always willing to help. I had preventative maintenance done and the technician noticed a problem with an expansion tank. He made a few phone calls and I believe the manager of the location brought me the expansion tank they hooked it up no issues and saved me a ton of money. I haven’t always been able to pay the full bill on time and they are always willing to work with me. The customer service and the fact that they have taken care of me since I signed up with them has been a huge relief. The star rating definitely does not ref

They have always been great with us .. very professional and helpful. One of their oil techs worked on our furnace said he fixed it and charged us .. later that day heat still didn't work.. called Patterson they sent out a new tech and he found the real problem and didn't even charge us for labor or new part.

HIGHLY recommend this company! When we moved to our house, the serviceman working on our oil furnace helped us locate an electrical problem (off the clock). When we called about propane service, the rep showed up within the hour and helped us dig through the snow to locate the buried tank. All our contacts with them have been pleasant, professional and efficient.
