Potluck Pick-Up Inc

I've been using this company since I've moved to grand Rapids 5 years ago and have been very satisfied with the service and prices even tho they have gone up but that's understandable. So today I was very surprised with the bad customer service I got. Seemed to be an inconvenience to transfer my service to new address. And more of an inconvenience for junk removal and jacking up of price for the removal. I had it dome before with no issues. Suggested I should get a dumpster for a few items. Trying to add things I didn't mention. So I was really confused with the attitude I got. Because it's the 1st time and I'm sure it's the same representative I've always communicated with. We just moved to the area and as I did research for a trash pickup service, I almost went with a much more expensive company because of the negative reviews. After debating for a while, we decided to give Potluck a chance because it was so cheap! I am so glad that we did! We printed off the free month coupon and mailed it in and there were no issues with our free month. We've had the trash service for about 4 months now and they have never missed a pickup and the online billing has been awesome. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews but so far our service has been impeccable. I'll update the review it that changes!

I set up trash service with Potluck because I remember when my parents had them how wonderful they were and wanted a local company. I contacted them, spoke to the receptionist and because we are on a dead end road, they will not pick up the trash at our home so they required it to go to the end of the driveway. The receptionist verified it with a man in the office. We agreed and canceled service with another company. We had two weeks in a row that they never picked up our trash. The second week I called. The woman was extremely rude. She kept insisting that the trash must be taken to another road for pick up. I explained that we cannot place our trash on private property. I have used this company for over 20 years, and haven't had any issues with the service. The prices have been reasonable. I needed to stop my service almost year ago , due to being out of the area for a while. I called and canceled my service while being out of the area and staying at my other home. I now need to resume my service again at my address which I have had service with Pot Luck for over 20 years. I called recently a week ago to ask about a temporary trash container, and called a day ago also , and talked to a young lady each time.that was very RUDE and UNPROFESSION . She talk to me as if she had a right to get into my personal business. The young lady told me that Pot Luck doesn't provide temporary service and I had to commit to 6 months to start my service b

Called for a quote, front desk was very short and unfriendly. I was told to cancel my current service, find out when cans were picked up and to call back to get started. Did that and called back. Still unfriendly on the call back. She stated they would not be able to get cans out to me until a week after my pick up date and then service wouldn't start for 2 weeks. I asked her what I should do in the meantime since she had me cancel my account and now was not able to provide me service for 2 weeks. Her response was, well I didn't know they'd be able to get your cans that quick. Poor business concept to ask someone to cancel their account before you know you are able to service them.
