David Thomas & Son Excavating did an excellent job replacing our septic system! Zach walked us through the process of getting the necessary applications filled out, and dealt with the town and health department to obtain the permits, approvals and inspections needed. They juggled their schedule to fit us in quickly and were very accommodating, professional, and clearly communicated every aspect of the job. And the price was excellent! I recommend them highly!

David Thomas and Son did a wonderful job expanding our driveway. They were professional, timely, and a pleasure to deal with. Fantastic, family run and owned company in the Ithaca area. Was referred to them by our next door neighbor who also had drainage/excavation work done. Very communicative, experienced and fair priced. Gave a free estimate after seeing the proposed project, taking measurements and running the numbers. Completed work within 1 week. Tied all of our gutter downspouts together and ran to daylight away from the house. Also fixed/replaced an existing drainage pipe as well as extended a sump pump line. Lastly, they hauled some pruning we'd done ourselves and properly disposed of it. Can't say enough good things about David and his son Zach. UPDATE - We had David and Zach prep and oversee a concrete pour for a carport pad in April 2024. Unfortunately, the pad failed in under a year and major cracks

David and his son, Zach, were fantastic! They came quickly, gave me a solid estimate, and got the entire job done in a week (I needed a new foundational wall on my house and a French drain placed). They really cared about the job and did amazing work. I highly recommend them! Update- almost a year later, while having my deck re-done, we found the need for another foundational wall to be repaired (David had said this wall would need to be re-done at some point when they did my last job). I called David and Zach, they came out the same day to check it out, and they even got me in the next week to get it done. They finished a WEEK earlier than anticipated, did an amazing job, and even helped replant some of the larger plants that we had to remove to access the wall. Thank you David and Zach!!
