IRR is a great supply house. Very competent staff that have a deep knowledge of their products. I love that I can text them orders. This is a supply house set up to provide equipment and parts to HVAC contractors. They cannot, by law, sell some parts to the general public for very good reasons. We get calls from customers who thought they could install their own systems. They couldn't. And now on top of that they can't find a company who will take on the liablity of fixing the problems. If you are going to go through the trouble of installing your own equipment, take the factory trainings, get the certifications, buy the tools. Then any supply house will be more than happy to sell you parts.

Won't sell a part to a homeowner. Rude on the phone. Don't waste your time. And this policy will not make me call a HVAC contractor. My money will go to an online vendor instead of buying local. EDIT: I see they responded below. The part in question was a blower motor controller. But, the person on the phone would not even let me get that far. I said I needed a part for a Heil furnace and that was the end of the conversation. I knew exactly what I needed. I had the part #. I wasn't asking for repair advice. I would have gladly paid 2x list price to have it that day.

Had a great experience with another employee but one in particular was incredibly rude and condescending. Interupted midsentence to tell us we were wrong. Also refused to sell to us as homeowners (which is fine) but was also supremely unhelpful in finding someone who could help.

I wanted to heat my hunting stand with a jet turbine, and needed the hardware to get the project started. IRR had everything I needed to get my project under way.
